Georgia, USC among finalists for four-star ex-Ohio State WR commit

At one time, Jayvan Boggs was one of the crown jewels of Ohio State's 2025 recruiting class.

Boggs, from Cocoa, Florida, decommitted from OSU in late March, though, providing validation to the rumblings that he was shakey on his commitment to the Buckeyes.

What happened?

Boggs committed to OSU in October 2023 and then went on to have a head-turning junior season. He finished his junior campaign with 93 catches for 1,504 yards and 24 touchdowns, earning Florida Player of the Year honors in the process.

Those big numbers turned many more schools onto Boggs' potential, and he received additional offers from the likes of Miami, Georgia and Notre Dame, among others, which turned up the heat on his recruitment.

“My recruitment is wide open again and I am hearing everyone out,” Boggs told On3 in April. “Over the last few weeks, I talked things over with my parents and decided to back off the commitment to Ohio State, take official visits and find the best place for me.”

Though he ultimately decided to open his recruitment back up, the talented wideout is ready to make a decision again. Per On3, he's back down to four schools: Georgia, Missouri, UCF and USC.

He also knows when he wants to make a commitment:

Ultimately, one of these four schools will end up getting a talented recruit. Per the 247Sports Composite rankings, he's the No. 23 wideout in the 2025 class.
