Fallout is Prime Video’s most fun new series, but parts of it weren't so much fun to film.
The post-apocalyptic drama, which in our Fallout review we call a horrific and hilarious must-watch, tested the patience of co-lead Aaron Moten.
Moten plays a squire for the Brotherhood of Steel, forced to lug around a huge bag of ammo in service of higher-ranking members. In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes TV, he didn’t hold back.
“It’s the worst thing in the world. Every day on set I’d be like ‘who made this?’ I couldn't wait to be done with the squire bag…it was as big as me!”
Moten’s comments are clearly light-hearted, with the actor keen to say filming was “a pleasure,” but his on-set grievances didn’t end there. Next, he shared the challenges of scenes in which he wears a practical suit of full power armor.
“The worst thing about it [is] the heaviness. I exist mostly in the top half of the suit, and I stand on boxes and things to make it eye for Ella, and that is 50-60 pounds. You first put it on and you think it’s fun, cool, my arms are dragging on the ground like a gorilla, but ten minutes later you are like ‘did we get the shot, can I take this off?’”
Moten’s efforts weren’t wasted. The show currently has a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes after 59 reviews, making it one of the best-scored releases of 2024.
You can watch Moten and co. in action on Prime Video now.
