Dwyane Wade receives the ultimate praise from Pat Riley

The recent comments from Pat Riley on the legacy Dwyane Wade has left on the Miami Heat were nothing short of spectacular. The immense praise Riley had for the NBA legend and former Heat star came through with a shining light of appreciation on so many levels, and the team president had no problem giving his most candid opinions and assessments of Wade.

During a conversation documented by Heat reporter Brady Hawk began with Riley talking about the 2006 season, one in which Wade led the franchise to its first NBA title. Starting things off with a bang, Riley called Wade "the greatest player on the planet."

But as Riley continued, the unquestionable comment that jumped off the page was how he described Wade's play, per Hawk.

"He was Jordan-like." Riley said while continuing to highlight Wade's burst, power and how low he was able to get to the floor. "That's Michael." Riley concluded.

There's no way to summarize the impact Wade had on the Heat organization, but from the first title, to the two additional championships with LeBron James and Chris Bosh by his side, his performance and accolades tell the entire story.

Wade played 16 seasons in the NBA, and a total of 15 of those were in Miami. It totaled out to 948 of his 1,054 career regular season games were played as a member of the Heat. Over that span, he won the aforementioned three titles while averaging 22.7 points, 5.6 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. Arguably the greatest statistical season of his career came in 2008-09, when he averaged 30.2 points while shooting 49.1 percent from the field. Arguably even more impressive than his scoring was the fact that Wade also averaged a career-best in assists with 7.5 and steals with 2.2 per game.
